" When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect. "

Martha Ebbesmeyer:educational coordinator
Staff
Martha Ebbesmeyer is the educational coordinator on staff to distribute resources
and to provide professional development for teachers.
What is the C.A.P. Foundation?
CAP is a unique organization existing in Illinois that is a partnership between local schools, the agricultural community, local conservation groups, and government agencies.
At CAP, we believe that a vital part of every child's education is to understand the importance of agriculture and conservation in order to respect our many resources. From Unraveling Fibers
to Eggsploring Poultry, the education coordinator works with over 130 local teachers and approximately 3,000 students each year to supplement classroom curriculum.
The CAP Foundation is directed by a nine member Board of Directors chosen from representatives of the Soil
and Water Conservation District, Highland Chapter Pheasants Forever, Oakdale Nature Preserve, the Regional Office of Education, Highland Community College, Dakota School District, Stephenson County Pork Producers, Stephenson
County Beef Association, and the Stephenson County Farm Bureau.
These actions were taken to ensure the longevity and financial stability of the program. Anyone wishing to
make a donation should contact Martha Ebbesmeyer at the CAP Foundation office. Donations made to CAP are tax exempt in accordance with the
501c(3) code of the Internal Revenue Service. Please Click Here To Make a Donation
